Thanks for visiting.
When Ven and I moved to Washington, D. C. in 1986, I was intrigued by the availability of the National Archives and other sources and decided to "flesh out" my family tree.
My grandfather always kept in touch with his extended family and would tell us about them so I started "doing genealogy". Once I got started, I realized that genealogy also documented the family history. In addition to grandpa Dewberry, other major contributors include Rodney Gross, Katherine Vanessa Singleton, Sylvia Raibon, and Julia Hart. They provided histories of surrounding people, places and things. Genealogy has taught me that sometimes things didn't happen the way we were told. Please share anything that will improve the site and knowledge of our family history.
